High Temperature Advisory: Your Safety Comes First!

Due to the current high temperatures, we have significantly increased the number of water stations throughout the event village and along all race courses. Cooling mist stations will also be available!

A very hot weekend is expected in Geneva. With high temperatures forecast, here are our key recommendations to help you stay safe and perform at your best throughout all three disciplines.

Swimming

  • No changes here — the waters of Lake Geneva will naturally help keep you cool.

  • Listen to your body. If you feel tired or short of breath, slow down.

  • Don’t forget to hydrate as soon as you exit the swim.

  • We will inform you in advance whether wetsuits will be permitted or not.

Bike

  • Hydrate regularly (500–750 ml/hour in hot conditions), ideally with an electrolyte drink.

  • Always carry an extra bottle, especially on the Half distance.

  • Pour water over your head and neck regularly to help cool down.

  • Water fountains will be available at the entrance to the transition area so you can refill your bottles or flasks between disciplines.

Running

  • Wear a lightweight cap or visor, preferably soaked with water, to protect yourself from the sun and help regulate your body temperature.

  • Alternate between water and electrolyte drinks at every aid station.

  • Cool yourself regularly by pouring water over your head, neck and body. Simple, but very effective.

⚠️ Watch out for these warning signs

Slow down immediately if you experience:

❗ Dizziness

❗ Headaches

❗ Cramps or nausea

Don’t hesitate to reduce your pace or stop if necessary. Your health always comes first.

Please also look out for fellow participants and alert a volunteer if you notice anyone showing signs of heat exhaustion.

🌞 Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Apply sunscreen before your race. If needed, sunscreen will also be available at bib collection.

Stay alert, stay hydrated, protect yourself from the sun, and take care of yourself and those around you — so everyone can enjoy a safe race weekend.
