Earthquakes in Afghanistan, the war in Ukraine, and other less publicized conflicts in Sudan, the Sahel, and Syria are destroying countless lives every day. Currently, 122 million people worldwide have been forced to flee their homes in search of peace and security—more than 13 times the population of Switzerland. This is a figure that should never have been reached.
